Lambic – Kriek
or this Schaarbeekse Kriek, we sourced Schaarbeekse sour cherries from 70+ local families’ orchards. We macerated them for almost seven months. For macerating and blending, we used lambikken from three barrels and five brews. A part of the unblended kriekenlambik was used for the 23rd blend (a Speling) that was only blended with a small part of young lambik to make it an Intens Rood – Schaarbeekse edition. This Schaarbeekse’s fruit intensity is 375 grams of Schaarbeekse sour cherries per litre. 100% 3 Fonteinen brewed lambik.
